Our Verdict: Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2

Letโ€™s dive right into the action:

I really, really like these clippers a lot. In fact, I think they are so outstanding that I consider them the Best Corded Dog Clippers. They completely surpassed my expectations in the categories that were most relevant and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a solid pair of clippers that do not contain a rechargeable battery.

These dog hair clippers are very effective. Believe me, when I tell you, they are so effective that I gave them the highest score in this category which is a 98 out of 100. These clippers cut every type of dog hair that you can think of and they work wonderfully, which is exactly what every dog owner is looking for.

They suffered somewhat in the noise/vibration category but not by much. I put these clippers in last place because they are slightly louder than the rest of the ones that I reviewed, but they arenโ€™t so loud that they would scare your dog away.

The power level is so good that itโ€™s off the charts. I couldnโ€™t help myself and gave this astounding product a perfect score in this category because it absolutely deserved it. These clippers are so powerful and they can cut through the thickest dog hair without any trouble at all.

The final two categories are called battery life and accessories. Guess what? These clippers do not fit in either of these categories which is likely unfortunate for some people.ย

This isnโ€™t part of an overall dog grooming kit so it doesnโ€™t come with any accessories. And it isnโ€™t a cordless dog hair clipper, so it doesnโ€™t actually have a rechargeable battery. So, there is no reason to go into any more detail since these categories arenโ€™t relevant.

But Iโ€™d like to close out by saying that if youโ€™re looking for a great pair of dog hair trimmers that absolutely get the job done, then youโ€™ll definitely appreciate this top-notch product.

Our Analysis, Comparisons & Test Results

Consider this:

I pour my heart into my research, analysis, and testing because I love taking care of animals and I love sharing this information with my readers.

I always implement the simplest ways to approach these reviews. And what Iโ€™ve discovered is that I should always test products based on the most important categories. In this particular case, I determined that there were 5 categories to test these 5 clippers in.

I tried them all out when I was cutting my dogโ€™s hair and made detailed notes about each one of these clippers. I then took my notes and compared them to the other clippers on a category by category basis until I came up with the proper ranking for each one.

To see how everything played out, please keep reading below.

Effectiveness

The Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 clippers were definitely my favorite in the effectiveness category, but they only won by a very small margin. I gave this product a 98 out of 100, which is a nearly perfect score and deserving of the first-place product.

The last place product is named the Wahl Home Pet Pro-Series Complete Pet Clipper Kit. Just because this product came in last place, it doesnโ€™t mean it wasnโ€™t effective because nothing could be further from the truth. This is a very effective dog clipper and one that I really liked a great deal, which is why I gave it an 88 out of 100.

Why did I find the Andis clippers so effective?

In this particular case, I loved the powerfully strong motor and I actually like the fact that these clippers do not have a rechargeable battery. They get their juice directly from a wall outlet, which means they are always going to have enough pure power to cut through thick dog fur, thin coats, and medium dog hair as well.

Noise/Vibration

As far as the Noise/Vibration category is concerned, the Andis UltraEdge clippers wound up in last place in this category. Although, it definitely isnโ€™t the end of the world because I gave these clippers a very positive 85 out of 100 in this category, which is practically a solid B+ if you ask me.

The first-place clippers in this category received a 98 out of 100 to win the top prize for the quietest and least vibrating clippers. The name of the brand and model is the Ceenwes Rechargeable Cordless Dog Grooming Clipper. These dog hair clippers were incredibly quiet and they didnโ€™t vibrate at all, which is great for nervous pups because theyโ€™ll never feel frightened by them.

Within the UltraEdge clippers, I had to knock off a few points because they do make some noise, and then the noise is definitely louder than the other clippers. But I have a somewhat nervous dog and she handled these clippers perfectly, so I donโ€™t think the noise level will scare anxious dogs in the least.

Power Level

In the Power Level category, the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 clippers hit a grand slam because they are definitely the best of the bunch. And they forced me to do something Iโ€™d never done before. I actually gave them a perfect score of 100 out of 100!

On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have the Ceenwes Rechargeable Cordless Dog Grooming Clipper. This particular product received an 84 out of 100, which isnโ€™t bad but it certainly isnโ€™t the greatest either. I lowered the score because the weak battery had a negative effect on the power level at times.

What makes me like the Andis clippers so much in this category? The motor is incredibly strong. It cuts through thick dog hair without much trouble. And itโ€™s also more than capable of trimming through medium hair and thin hair as well.

But the power is intense and ultimately remarkable. You canโ€™t go wrong with these clippers if youโ€™re looking for something strong that gets the job done.

Battery Life

This section is going to be quick because itโ€™s actually irrelevant to this product. I gave the Andis clippers a score of 60 out of 100, which sounds awful but I had to give it a number because they donโ€™t actually have a rechargeable battery.

If youโ€™re looking for great clippers with a rechargeable battery, I highly recommend looking into the Bousnic Cordless Pet Hair Grooming Clippers Kit. I gave them the best score in this category with an 88 out of 100, so definitely do yourself a favor and look into them because they are certainly worth your while.

Accessories

The final category is called Accessories. And once again, this particular product from Andis isnโ€™t actually perfectly relevant to the category. I only gave these clippers a 60 out of 100, which really is not a very good score as you already know. But I did it because this isnโ€™t actually a grooming kit, so it doesnโ€™t come with any additional accessories.

Are you looking for a product that does have accessories? Iโ€™d like to recommend looking into the Ceenwes Rechargeable Cordless Dog Grooming Clipper. This grooming kit had excellent clipper combs, scissors, regular combs, blade oil, a beautiful carrying case, and all of the other bells and whistles that youโ€™d want in a great kit like this one.

Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 FAQs:

What Blades Come With The Purchase Of The Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 Clippers?

Unlike other dog grooming clippers sets, this particular item only comes with one blade. It is a #10 blade, which seems to be the perfect size to shear various types of pet fur and dog coats.

I can say with absolute certainty that I had no trouble cutting my dogโ€™s hair using these clippers and this particular blade. In fact, the blade was very sharp and the clippers are very powerful, so it was really easy to cut thick dog hair without any difficulty whatsoever.

At the same time, itโ€™s also a great pair of clippers to use if youโ€™re attempting to cut dog hair when itโ€™s thin, medium length, or anything else as well. This blade is ideal for many types of pet fur.

Is It Possible To Attach The Blade Of Another Model Of Dog Hair Clipper To The Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2?

In truth, I never personally tested whether or not you can attach the blade from another model of dog hair clipper to this particular model. Itโ€™s something I wouldnโ€™t do because I like to stick with the blades that come from the same manufacturer.

With that said, I did read an interesting story from a previous customer. He tried to attach an Andis ceramic blade to this clipper from a different set of clippers that he had lying around his house. When he attempted to attach it, he found out that it wasnโ€™t possible. And remember, the ceramic blade was designed by the same manufacturer, so keep that in mind.

More than likely, it will not be possible to attach the blade from another dog hair clipper to this particular model. Based on the little bit of information that I have, it really doesnโ€™t seem likely.

Can I Successfully Use Clipper Combs With The Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 Clippers?

Although they do not come with the product, itโ€™s possible to purchase a set of clipper combs for the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 clippers. The manufacturer actually sells two different sets of clipper combs that fit the blade on this electric razor perfectly.

You can either contact the manufacturer directly via their website to find out more about purchasing these clipper combs. Or if you prefer, you can search for them on the website of your favorite online retailer to find out if they have any in stock.

Our Final Verdict: Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2

Iโ€™d like to take a moment at this time to thank everyone who stuck around and read this review all the way to the end. I put a lot of hard work and effort into creating these reviews while testing and analyzing different products, and I truly believe that this information is invaluable and should really help you decide on your next set of dog clippers.

In todayโ€™s review, we discovered that the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 dog shears were the Best Corded Dog Clippers currently available today. Just plug these incredible clippers into the wall outlet and watch them go.

One thing that Iโ€™d like to make clear is that I always attempt to make the research, testing, and analysis very easy to understand. I test multiple products at the same time and compare them to each other in a number of different categories. In this particular case, I reviewed them based on 5 categories, but this can vary from product group to product group.

Ultimately, just know that I always review the best products available based on the information that Iโ€™ve gathered at the time. Things can change as new products are released, but this is the best of the best at the moment.

During testing and analysis, I discovered a few things about the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 corded dog clippers that Iโ€™d like to recap right now. The important things to remember include:

  • These dog grooming clippers work amazingly well because they have a lot of power, plug directly into the wall, and they successfully cut every type of dog hair.
  • They are the noisiest out of the clippers that I reviewed, although they arenโ€™t so noisy that theyโ€™d scare your dog. They are just a little bit loud and vibrate a little bit more than the other clippers but it wasnโ€™t a big deal.
  • The power level is off the charts when it comes to these clippers. Itโ€™s the first time Iโ€™ve ever given a product a perfect score.
  • The battery life is totally irrelevant as far as these clippers are concerned because they do not have a rechargeable battery. These corded clippers must be plugged into a wall outlet in order to work.
  • They do not have accessories, so this category also isnโ€™t particularly relevant. Unless youโ€™re looking for a full dog grooming kit, which means you should definitely choose a different product because this one isnโ€™t what youโ€™re looking for.
