So, let’s get down to it:
There’s a lot to love about Wahl Motion Lithium Ion Clipper. This product impressed me a great deal. It impressed me so much that I consider it the Best Overall Dog Grooming Kit.
What was so special about it? What made me like it so much?
First off, I liked the overall effectiveness. I could plug it in, give it a full charge, and then literally sit down for the next two hours and cut dog hair successfully with the greatest of ease.
The Wahl Motion Lithium Ion Clipper had no trouble shearing through thick hair, thin hair, and everything in between. The sharp blades also made these clippers incredibly effective.
And another thing…
The levels of noise and vibration were perfect for my somewhat anxious pooch. He didn’t flinch as soon as I turned the clippers on, which is a problem for other dogs because the noise is too loud and scary. He also didn’t flinch when I started cutting his hair, because the Clippers didn’t vibrate too much so it didn’t disturb his calm composure in the least.
The power level was more than satisfactory as well. They aren’t the strongest clippers in the world, but as I said, they are very effective and they are strong enough to shear through thick dog hair, which is exactly what I needed.
One of my favorite things about these clippers is their battery level. I like to have a strong rechargeable battery and that’s exactly what you get with this product. It contains a powerful lithium-ion battery that after you plug it in, will remain charged for a solid 2 hours before the battery finally runs dry.
Trust me when I tell you, you can cut lots of dog hair in two hours my friends!
Lastly, this grooming kit has a lot of great accessories. I was very impressed with the self-sharpening blades, the clips to cut hair at different lengths, the oil, the sturdy comb, the stainless-steel scissors, and the well-made power adapter.

First:
I keep things simple and test similar products at the same time. In this particular case, I chose 5 dog clippers and grooming kits to try out. I chose these clippers because they had great ratings online, lots of positive chatter, and they were affordable.
Second:
I began my testing phase by trying out each one of these dog clippers. I purposely waited until my dog’s hair was grown in and long, so I could test each one to see how they stacked up against one another.
At this time, I’m going to tell you how the Wahl Motion Lithium Ion Clippers performed in comparison to the 4 other clippers that I tried out. Let’s see what I discovered below.
Effectiveness
In the Effectiveness category, the Wahl Motion Lithium Ion Clipper received the second-best score in this category with a near-perfect 96 out of 100.
The last place product is by the same company and it’s called Wahl Home Pet Pro-Series Complete Pet Clipper Kit. This dog hair clipper received a pretty good score in its own right, but it only got an 88 out of 100, which puts it in last place.
The top-scoring product is called Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2. This product received a near-perfect 98 out of 100 because it’s incredibly effective. This is a corded product with a super powerful motor, so you can cut through any type of dog hair as long as the blade is sharp.
Honestly, I prefer the Motion Lithium Ion Clippers from Wahl, even though I consider them slightly less effective than the top-scoring product.
Why?
I love that they have a strong enough motor to cut my dog’s hair without any difficulty whatsoever. I like that it’s portable and cordless, so I can keep it fully charged and bring it wherever I need to go.
In my opinion, these dog clippers get the job done and they are a keeper.

Noise/Vibration
In the category named Noise/Vibration, the Wahl Motion Lithium-Ion Clipper also received an extra impressive score, which represents a 92 out of 100 in this particular case.
My least favorite clippers in this category are the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 clippers. Oddly enough, they come in last place in this category for the same reason they came in first place for the previous category.
They have a powerful motor which is somewhat loud and it vibrates more than the other clippers, so it scared my dog a little bit even though it wasn’t too bad.
Here’s what I think:
Regarding the Wahl clippers I liked that the noise level is kept to a minimum and it doesn’t vibrate very much.
While I would never say that my pup is a nervous Nelly, he does tend to get scared from time to time. He doesn’t like loud noises and you’ll see him hiding under the bed on the Fourth of July! I know a lot of dogs tend to hide under the bed on the Fourth of July because the fireworks are just too darn loud.
Well, loud and vibrating clippers also rattle him a little bit. But these clippers never upset my pup at all, so you won’t have to worry about your dog either if you have a nervous little guy or gal.

Power Level
For the Power Level category, I ranked the Wahl Motion Lithium-Ion Clipper with a score of 90 out of 100, which places it in second to last place.
The first-place winner is the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 because I gave it a perfect score of 100 out of 100, and this is the only perfect score that any product received. This powerful motor has five speeds and it cuts all types of dog hair without any difficulty whatsoever.
The last place product is the Ceenwes Rechargeable Cordless Dog Grooming Clipper, which received an 84 out of 100. It just didn’t have the same level of power as some of the other clippers that I recently reviewed.
Consider this:
This set of clippers is honestly no slouch in the power department, even though it isn’t the strongest on the list. It has a robust heavy-duty power drive motor though.
Believe it or not, this motor has the ability to cut through thick coats of hair. You can ramp the power up to 1 ½ times the regular level, and it will shear through just about anything.
So, don’t think these clippers aren’t worth your time because of the lower score. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Battery Life
The category Battery Life is an important one. I gave the Wahl Motion Lithium Ion Clipper a very high 86 out of 100. This may seem like it’s on the lower side, but believe it or not this score puts these clippers in second place overall.
The first-place product received a similar 88 out of 100 score. It’s called Bousnic Cordless Pet Hair Grooming Clippers Kit and it has an excellent battery that lasts for 3-5 hours.
Our last place product is the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2.
It’s almost unfair to put this product in last place. Why? It doesn’t have a battery, so this category is basically irrelevant. But I gave it a 60 out of 100 anyway just to give it some kind of score.
Here’s the deal:
The Wahl Lithium-Ion Clipper has two hours of battery life available after a full charge. For me, this gave me plenty of time to cut my dog’s hair. In fact, it only takes about a half an hour, so theoretically I could cut 4 dogs’ hair within this timeframe.
I had to knock off a few points because one of the clippers is corded and it doesn’t require a battery, so it lasts as long as you could possibly need it. Another set of clippers had a stronger battery life, hence the second-place score and ranking.

Accessories
In the final category called Accessories, I rated this dog grooming kit with a very respectable score of 92 out of 100. This score also puts this product in second place in this category.
The first-place product is the Ceenwes Rechargeable Cordless Dog Grooming Clipper, which received a 94 out of 100.
And the last place product is once again the Andis UltraEdge Super AGC2 dog clippers. This product doesn’t come with accessories, so I gave it a 60 out of 100 again.
Here’s what I was thinking:
I’m a really big fan of the accessories made available with the Wahl Motion Lithium-Ion Clipper. It has a sturdy and convenient traveling case, some great clips to cut dog hair at different lengths, a nice pair of well-made scissors, a solidly put-together comb, some oil for the blade, a brush to wipe down the hair, and one other accessory that I have no idea how to use!
All of the accessories are sturdy, well-made, and very useful. Sometimes these accessories are cheap and worthless, but this isn’t the case with this product.
